RN to MD Info
I know two clinical doctors who are actually ex- registered nurses. One in particular was formerly a diploma Registered nurse that obtained her BS in Biology and the other was in fact an LPN. I am aware she never was an RN, so she too has not got a BSN, while I not really know of the undergrad college degree that she did attain. It's going to take a long period of time to become a medical doctor. It looks like being a nurse would assist you to bond with pt's, yet I just think we will have very different training and prospectives. All the best in whatever you pick. BTW, Dr. Nurse is surely an NP, not only a medical professional. I was able to do a clinical rotation w/ a terrific Dr. Nurse whom grduated from Columbia University. One awesome girl!
To go to medical school, you 'must' have finalized at least 90 credit hours as an undergraduate (nevertheless it is extraordinary for human being who is not on graduation-track to be admitted), and additionally having accomplished the actual necessary training (which always commonly necessitates 2 semesters of general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, biology, in combination with amount of others still).
As a BSN that finalized the critical undergraduate training, you can still apply.
Zero credit to an MD/DO is presented for PA, RN, NP, or virtually any other courses.
